What’s the Egg Donor Process for First-Time Egg Donors?

Step 1 PureOvum Admissions

You’ll complete an online application to be reviewed by our PureOvum coordinators. Once your application is approved, you’ll be contacted and asked to join Southern California’s most prominent egg donor program and complete the entire admissions process.

Step 2 Create Egg Donor Profile

Finishing the process entails video consultations (if necessary), correspondence, genetic testing, and creating an egg donor profile. Your dynamic profile will be created by you and added to our database where intended parents can view and select egg donors.

Step 3 Screening and Medical Tests

Once you are selected by intended parents, you’ll undergo a rigorous psychological and medical screening process — to ensure this is a safe and healthy process for you and our intended parents. You will be required to travel to our fertility clinic in Southern California for your screening.

During this time, you’ll also complete a legal agreement to outline the terms of the egg donation.

What is the Egg Donation Cycle on the Egg Donor Journey?

Our reproductive endocrinologists will put together a medical protocol for you. Your PureOvum coordinator will arrange travel, appointments, and medications. Local donors will need to commit to two weeks for the cycle (stay in San Diego for 14 days; OOT donors will be monitored the first week and stay in San Diego for 7-10 days).

Before the egg retrieval, you will undergo monitoring to confirm that your body’s ready to begin the cycle and track your progress on the medications. The egg retrieval itself takes about 15-20 minutes, and all donors are required to stay in San Diego for an additional 24-48 hours after the procedure to properly rest and recover. One additional appointment will be required for final monitoring after the retrieval to ensure your body has recuperated.

What is the Egg Donation Compensation?

Egg donation is a beautiful act, and the leading egg donation agency recognizes the commitment that it takes. As a result, we compensate our donors generously for their time and effort. This monetary compensation can make it possible for you to pursue your own life goals, including travel and education.

Estimated reimbursement for our egg donors ranges from $5,000 to a maximum of $10,000 (which is set by the donor).
